The Story of the Bible

There is no book on earth quite like the Bible. The bible was the first book printed by Gutenberg on the printing press and, since then, the Bible has been published, sold and translated more than any other book in history. In fact, according to a survey by the Barna Group, more than 90 percent of American households own a Bible.

The Bible consists of over 60 books written by more than 40 authors over a period of 1500 years. It is filled with history, poetry, prophecy and practical teaching. Yet, many people struggle to understand this unique book. So, if is often neglected. In fact, according to that same Barna survey, only about 31% read their Bible regularly.

At Lighthouse Community Church , we want to encourage you to read and understand the message of the Bible. To help, we presented a 12 part sermon series called “The Story of the Bible.” This series will help you to understand how the Bible fits together with one big story of God providing salvation for people just like you.
