Lighthouse is extremely committed to the Great Commission. The Bible teaches that we, as christians, are to "go and make disciples of all nations." Like all Scripture, that means something to the people who call Lighthouse Community Church, their church home. Lighthouse has shared the good news of Christ to 10 different countries and continues to look for more opportunities to reach out the peoples of the world.

Rich Foster - New Tribe Missions

On Sunday, October 29, we were blessed to have Rich Foster with us during the morning worship service. Rich, his wife Dawn, and their family (Hannah, Hadassah , Jordan , and Havana ) are missionaries in Papua New Guinea (PNG) where they live and work among the Bena Bena people. David Becker

David Becker and his wife Laurel joined us to share the work they have been doing in India. David left Nashville and our midst to go to college in Springfield, MO. several years ago. Since then, he has traveled abroad several times reaching out to the peoples of India bringing them the good news of Christ.

Interestingly, David joins us as Pastor Rob and a team were in Mexico on a medical mission trip and while providing much needed health care, they used this as an opportunity to share Christ with the Mexican people.

Another team from Lighthouse is currently in the inner city of St Louis, MO working to bring the Gospel to the young people there. This team spent a few days searching for children of the St Louis inner city area and invited them to attend a Vacation Bible School held by our team. As many as 80 inner city children attended VBS during the week-long trip.

On the day of David's visit, In total, more than 30 members of our congregation were working in the mission field.

Lighthouse Mission Wall

On the Lighthouse "Mission Wall" are the flags of ten different countries where our folks have given their time and money to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

In 2006 alone, people from Lighthouse have traveled several thousand miles to reach out to those who have not heard of Jesus Christ. This year's trips have already included St. Louis, Missouri; Oaxaca, Mexico; Chisinau, Muldova; and in November, a group will travel to the inner city regions of Los Angeles, CA to do more of the same.
